Ruth was able to  alert her teacher so she would receive help when she returned to school. This experience is very personal to her because a family member committed suicide a few years ago.                  Anastasia Billet

I’ve been with CDFY for almost a year, I’m super passionate about educating our youth on substance use awareness and making good choices. I am a recovering addict/alcoholic myself for almost 10 years and believe if I would have had programs like CDFY to help me when I was younger maybe my life would’ve been different. Today I am a successful business owner of a salon in Columbia Missouri, Sunshine Hair Design, and I am very active in the recovery community to help others like myself to become productive members of society and help break the stigma that comes with addiction. I am also a mom to 2 small children whom I am trying to break the cycle for and a wife.
